Creme Fraiche is a thickened cream with a slightly tangy, nutty flavor and velvety, rich texture. This French specialty is traditionally made with unpasteurized cream. However, this version is pasteurized and made in Vermont. It is a rich treat that is perfect for thickening sauces and soups because it can be boiled without curdling. It is also delicious spooned over fresh fruit desserts. We especially like it served with our smoked salmon or with caviar. Just a dollop atop a piece of cocktail bread with a slice of smoked salmon lifts the experience to a whole new level. Its creamy tang is the perfect complement to a tender, smoky bite of salmon. Crème fraîche is the traditional accompaniment to caviar, and it smooths out the saltiness of the eggs.

Better than sour cream
I make a lot of Eastern European dishes that call for sour cream. I thought I'd try this as a substitute and I must admit, it's much better. It has a thicker consistency than sour cream so that the dishes remain thick and creamy.

Quality ingredient
Local stores stopped carrying Creme Fraiche and I needed a source due to a signature dish of Roasted Potato slices, Creme Fraiche, chives and Caviar that my customers have come to demand. I only use the best, high quality ingredients and this meets my demands. Highly recommended

Excellent product!
I needed Creme Fraiche for a recipe and drove three hours to get it. I found that the trip was well worth it. Since then I have not been without Creme Fraiche. It is excellent anywhere cream or sour cream is used. I like it on berries, in pie, on baked potatoes. I used some in scrambled eggs this morning. Daily use it in recipes.

I had a little problem with the first delivery. It came with a warm ice pack and the product was warm, but I called the company. And they sent a new one immediately. Customer service was awesome! The product was great. The shipping is very pricy.

Creme Fraiche is excellent!
My wife, for whom this was purchased, has traveled around the world and says that this Creme Fraiche is one of the best she's ever tasted. Wants to know what you feed your cattle!

We used this as suggested but we had smoked steelhead. Worked great and just made the fish taste wonderful.
