Flake sea salt is a light crystal, reminiscent of snowflakes. Seawaters are evaporated using the natural processes of sun and wind, producing salt brine that is fed into an open evaporating pan. The brine is then slowly heated to the point where delicate pyramid-shaped crystals of salt appear. The finished product is light, flaky sea salt.

Cyprus Black Lava is Mediterranean Flake Salt mixed with activated charcoal. The beautiful color is not the only benefit that the charcoal adds-- it also gives a unique taste and acts as a natural detoxifier.

Beautiful, salty treat
Uh.may.zing. This uniquely beautiful finishing salt is so awesome, I can eat it out of the jar! But it's wonderful on vegetables, eggs and salads.

Not Your Mama's Salt
Before I was introduced to sea salt, I thought all salt was the same. When I was given a gift of real sea salt years ago I discovered the world of salt is diverse. This delicious Cyprus Black Lava salt is a recent acquisition and has become a favorite. It's unique bold flavor goes particularly well on baked potatoes with double cream Irish butter.

Great color and shape.
I liked the cool Pyramid shape of the salt. The charcoal added to the flavor. I also put this one on cherry tomatoes and I use it on eggs.
