The Dolaner Extra Piquant is matured on traditional wooden shelves for at least 15 months. Such a traditional, slow maturation process requires a lot of effort and patience but you can taste the genuine results. You can recognize the age of this cheese with the speckling of crispy white tyrosine crystals. The Dolaner Extra Piquant is a great cheese for cubing, shredding on a salad, or slicing for your favorite sandwich or cheese toastie!
Veldhuyzen Kaas has been a well known name in the cheese business since 1884. More than 125 years ago bargeman Cornelius Veldhuyzen transported cheese from Dutch farmers. He acquired the confidence of these farmers to sell their cheese for the best possible price. Cornelius Veldhuyzen succeeded in trading cheeses and expanded his activities. In 1884 the first cheese warehouse of the Veldhuyzen Family was a fact. This was the start of a meanwhile 125-year-old family tradition, which now produces some of Hollandís most beloved cheeses.
