Wild Burgundy Snails, a timeless French delicacy, are finally available to gourmands in the United States. Their manufacturer, Henri Marie, has been satisfying the most discriminating palates in France since 1938. Served in the world's finest French restaurants, these are the escargot reserved for dignitaries, movie stars and the like.

As with all gastronomic delicacies, escargots exhibit varying levels of quality. Henri Marie's snails maintain an unwavering reputation for incomparable products. Their formula is quite simple. They begin with authentic Burgundy snails (Hélix Pomatia Linne), found only in the wild in southeastern France. They are then hand-sorted by size, washed, and cooked in an aromatic bouillon according to the same ancestral standards used in 1894.

There are 116 types of edible snails, and the Helix Pomatia Linne is the unanimously proclaimed #1 in terms of flavor and texture. Nicknamed the "Land Lobster", it exhibits a similar texture to lobster, with an earthier flavor. These escargots are 100% natural, low-carb (Atkin's friendly) and have very high nutritive levels. This tin of "Very Large" size escargot contains 24 snails. They are the perfect size for serving as an hors d'oeuvre.

Almost like home !
I have eaten these many times over in Germany where I come from, and this product is just as good as what we get from France 'next door'. Excellent consistency and great taste. Shipment was fast and (including the shells) in great shape. Clearly worth it.

Top notch
The snails were large, clean, and packed with carrots and bay leaves (which I was pleasantly surprised to see). Once cooked, they were tender and very tasty. Probably the best escargot I've had in a long time (of course, my recipe helped that!!!!).

I ordered two cans of large and one small. One can was dented .I called the seller and received a replacement in 2 days . The snails were fantastic !

Excellent product and customer service, but shipping a bit of an issue....
These snails are top-notch. However, I will note that my packages repeatdely arrived with dented cans. The good news is that customer service is excellent-- friendly, thoughtful, and speedy. But the packages kept arriving with dented cans ---because the bubble wrap needs to be taped to the cans!. .... But the snails are great. Order in advance to allow for reshipments.
