This luscious, Brie-like cheese comes from the Pilat Regional Park in France's Rhone-Alpes. Created by Fromagerie Guilloteau, Fromager d'Affinois is unique in the world of double cremes in that even as it progresses in age it still maintains a firm paste in the center. Beneath the light, fuzzy rind is a gooey ring that becomes almost liquid at room temperature. Progressing further into the cheese, you find a smooth, rich cheese with the lovey taste of fresh butter and earthy mushrooms. Fromager d'Affinois is a must-try for fans of Saint Andre, Boursaut, or Brie de Meaux. Enjoy this cheese with crisp white wines or champagne, along with apples, grapes, and walnuts. Available in two varieties, original and garlic-herb rubbed into the rind. Varieties sold separately.

Nice change from brie
I like alternating triple cream cheeses (brie one order, St. Andre the next, un zo weiter). This was a nice change. I got the plain, and found it to be a smooth, spreadable change from brie.

A sin permitted on earth, so creamy, smooth, with so much flavor both...herbs and truffle,like it better the black truffle,just wonderful!

This is the BEST cheese
My husband and I love this cheese! It is wonderful with a nice glass of wine and some water crackers. So rich, so creamy! I could eat it everyday.

Lovely
This was better than expected. Incredibly creamy and the spices in the Garlic and Herb variety do not overpower the cheese at all. It's a great choice for those less daring with their cheese. Have already placed an order for more!
