Imported from Apulia, Cerignolas are the largest olives in the world. Named after the town Cerignola in the Foggia province, these olives have long been prized by gourmands. Cerignolas have a fruity, mild, clean taste, but their most impressive feature is their size and resulting meatiness. Biting into a Cerignola is almost like biting into a plum. Deep jade green in color, serve them as an appetizer with cocktails. These green Cerignolas are naturally ripened on the tree, giving them a firm bite and perfect texture without mushiness. Our favorite way of enjoying Cerignolas is to toss them in olive oil and serve with a scattering of sliced basil strips. These olives come packaged beautifully in a keepsake Italian glass jar with mini-handles on either side.

Best olives ever!
I had these in Italy and bought some to bring back with me to the states. I can't seem to find them anywhere, so I'm glad I finally found them at igourmet.com. The only problem I had with them was that the jar was shattered when it got here. Not so fun picking bits of glass out of my pile of olives. This was my 3rd shipment of these and so far only one broken jar. Maybe a fluke?

Tastes like cardboard.
We were disappointed with these olives. They are tasteless and packed in a bland oil (not olive oil), further adding to an overall cardboard feel and taste.

Interesting!
I had never had un-brined green olives, so I was very surprised at how tasty they were. My son kept eating them right from the jar! Need to look for a bigger jar and no pits next!

Not you traditional brine type olive. I am a love the salt an olive brings. These, not so much.

Best Olives Ever
My husband and I travel a lot to Italy and one trip we had a meal that included these large beautiful green olives. They were amazing. When we got back home, I searched high and low to find olives like the ones we had in Italy - well I found them - Green Bella di Cerignola Olives!! They are without a doubt the most wonderful olives out there. Buttery and meaty. The best!
