Dubliner was first described to us as a mixture between Cheddar and Parmigiano Reggiano. This description is quite accurate. Dubliner tastes of a mature Cheddar with the sweet aftertaste of Reggiano. Created by the Irish company Kerrygold and named after Ireland's capital city, this cheese shares traits with several well-known cheeses, but the combination creates a flavor that is completely unique.

Sharp, but mellow taste
I keep giving all of these products from igourmet five stars only because that's the highest I can go. I've gotten Kerrygold Dubliner at my local [ ] and, while theirs is good, this is so much better. It's good with apples or pears but I love it in an omelet with mushrooms. Shipping is good and the cost of this cheese is actually lower on igourmet than at [ ].

Outstanding
This was a real hit at our Christmas party - out of the 5 different varieties, this one was everyone's favorite. It has the perfect texture and the best nutty flavor. It's perfect alone, with wine and crackers, or even with cooking.

Kerrygold Dubliner
From the UK originally, I've lived stateside most of my life. I gave up on cheese many years ago. We're a great country, not so much with cheese. My son bought a very small stick of this cheese at a local supermarket deli. Well, I tried it and I and now everyone in the house loves this cheese. It's white cheddar, with a nutty taste, easily crumbles or grates for uses over salads. Slices nice too. It has a great texture and sweet aftertaste. If you are not a great cheese head like me, you'll like this so much more than American Cheddar. It melts nicely. I like it most cut in squares eaten with a nice sliced apple. Really, do try it. It's lovely! Careful, it's addicting. Love reading you folks that know so much about cheeses, I'm learning from it. Anyone that could recommend a nice mild English white cheddar.. I'd appreciate it! A large food warehouse now carries Dubliner if you're in a pinch and can't wait for shipment.

Keep coming back!
Regardless of the many cheeses I try, I always come back to Kerrygold Dubliner. for anyone who likes a sharp cheddar with a hint of Parmigiano Reggiano, this cheese is second to none. It is not unusual for me to consistently order 5 lbs. of only this fantastic cheese and to share my source with the many compliments I receive from others who try it.

Haven't found one as pleasing!
Since I first tried Kerrygold Dubliner, I have yet to find a cheddar cheese I like better. Whether with crackers, sandwiches, or for cooking (or just plain eating), it is outstanding.

Versatile
This cheese is very tasty; exactly as described here. It is more firm than cheddar and perfect for shaving over salads and meals!! Also, good by itself as a snack. Highly recommend!!

Very well balanced cheese
I love this hard,nutty,and smooth cheese. At first it kind of crumbles in your mouth. then the flavor begins to deepen,then,after swallowing there is a sweetness to it. makes you want to eat more and more.

Kerrygold Dubliner - Excellent
This is the first of the Kerrygold cheeses I tried, and it made me a true fan of all Kerrygold cheese. A unique and dry cheddar cheese, I do find this a fantastic cheese for eating and for many cooking recipes. Love it!
