Nice balance
Not too sweet, not too spicy. Texture is interesting and complex. Crunchy outside over semi-soft inside. Great for dunking. Sugar crystals add an additional bit of flavor and crunch.

Wonderful and Spicy!
One of the best Gingerbread Cookie ever for grown-ups with a bit of crunch. Not overly hard but best for coffee dunking. Loved them.

Good but not great
I bought these cookies to give to crew members on my upcoming Christmas Cruise. I decided to try a bag. The cookies are soft and very chewy. The spices were a tad strong not bad, just not to my liking. What I did not like , was the sugar crystals in the batter. These Gingerbread cookies are the real German deal. I prefer to make my own.

Stolen
I purchased this because my grandmother used to be the only way to get real German printen, but she died 25 years ago. I've looked everywhere online , usually every couple years. This year, to my absolute shock, amazon carries it! So I purchased 14 bags and hoped it all tasted fresh. Then, to my absolute horror, I've lost 3 boxes to some poor soul this holiday season who thinks that stealing is the way to get presents under his tree. The bags look just like the real deal, so I will order more and ship somewhere else. I anticipate my 5 star rating will not change.

A Touch Too Licorice-y
Nicely subdued molasses sweetness. For my taste, though, too much anise/fennel versus not enough ginger.
