This cheese from Jura, France, is aged in a cellar or cave, where it is turned every two days and washed with brine or whey to speed the aging process. This forms a velvety, yellowish rind on the cheese. The cheese itself has a creamy texture, a nutty aftertaste, and a delicate herbal aroma. Calling all cheese lovers-- this exquisite aromatic cheese is a relatively scarce find in the United States, so take advantage of it while you can! As true Reblochon can no longer be imported to the USA, this is the closest we have found to that rare pleasure.
  • Best enjoyed within seven days of delivery.
  • Made from pasteurized cow's milk.
  • Photo depicts whole 17.8 ounce form of cheese.

good stuff
Very similar to reblochon. Works great for tartiflette. I am looking forward to trying other cheeses from igourmet.

Le Delice du Jura
I'm not a cheese connoisseur, but I do love food. This cheese was slightly sweet and very tasty. I used it for a recipe I had never tried that called for Reblochon cheese, which is not available in the U.S. This cheese was very soft and had an interesting flavor. Very enjoyable.

Creamy treat
Reminiscent of Limburger yet milder with smoother texture; a new favorite!

Outstanding
I am so happy to have found this cheese (and this website!). I had some friends over for dinner and we had this as one of out appetizers. I spread some on warmed up bread and topped with anchovies. Will be re-ordering quickly.

Wonderful
Unable to get this cheese from my regular supplier, I was directed to igourmet. It was a glad happening. I was delighted not only with the delivery on the exact date I ordered, but the cheese itself was better than what I had used in the past. This will become my go to place to order. Thank you so much.

Good for Tartiflette
Having had the dish tartiflette in France several times, I've become hooked. The dish is traditionally made using reblochon cheese. The problem is this cheese is unpasteurized and can't be shipped to the USA. I was looking for a good alternative and iGourmet suggested Le Delice du Jura. The cheese is made in the same French alps region. The principal difference to this cheese is that it is pasteurized, and thus can be shipped to the USA. I was not disappointed. The cheese characteristics are very similar to reblochon. It melted in a similar manner when baked in the oven. I dare say one might not know the difference if served to you. Side note: whenever I make tartiflette now I use my twist on the recipe. In place of potatoes (the dish is normally "fancy scalloped potatoes and ham")I substitute ziti or rigatoni pasta. This makes the dish "fancy mac&cheese"). Try it. I call it "Tartizitte"

Excellent cheese
Deliciously creamy, flavorful and aromatic. Wonderful on baguette and melted over plain boiled potatoes. Recommended for any lover of soft creamy cheeses.

Found the service/delivery on schedule, and was happy to receive it well before my "Foods from France" Francophile event. Thank you.
