Picobello is a decadent, Gouda-style Dutch cheese with a big, sweet personality. After six months of aging, Picobello is slightly dry with a touch of sweetness. The yellow-orange paste is crumbly, crunchy, crystalline, and rich like Parmigiano or aged Gouda. The paste is solid, punctuated by a few small holes. A taste of Picobello begins as subtle but grows quickly into a rich experience with the sweet notes of caramel, roasted nuts, and toasted breads, all flying over your taste buds. Aged and firm, Picobello is a perfect choice to cut slices for sandwiches, chunk up for a party, or grate over your favorite baked entrees. Picobello is a must try for fans of aged Dutch and Italian cheeses, like Parrano and Asiago. This cheese will pair well with sweet Alsatian wines or robust red wines such as Pinot Noir. Or try ales, such as the Trappist Ales of Northern Europe for a true treat!

What a treat!
I had the privilege of trying this cheese at a wine festival and ordered it from igourmet for some personalized gifts. The cheese is amazing as well as the prompt, crazy fast delivery.

Decadently good, sweet
Well described, densely flavorful, a great gouda. Better than most igourmet mass-produced goudas. Suggest cut into smaller pieces - you don't want all this flavor to go by too fast.

A little bit goes a long way
Highly flavorful, and very rich, a small chunk more than satisfies. If you're a fan of Parmigiano, this one is for you.

Very different
This is a very different type of cheese that I found wasn't for me. It wasn't bad, it was just different. So, if you want to try a cheese unlike most others, I'd try this. :)

Rich, Decadent Cheese
Absolutely the perfect balance of rich flavour and smooth creaminess once melted on the tongue. Great saltiness.

picobello-yummy
what a wonderful cheese! Wow, as you dig into this cheese you will encounter small holes just a bit wet with this yummy tasting liquid and then bites of crunchy crystaline. I have ordered tons of cheeses from this company.. by far one of my favorites! Great for grating, enjoying with wine, whatever.... heading back for one more chunk!!! cannot help myself...addicting to say the least!
