Menu is a specialty-food-production company that began life as a salami factory run by Romolo Barbieri, in Cavezzo (province of Modena), Italy in the 1930's. Over the years, the company, now run by Romolo's son, Rodolfo, has expanded to create quality Italian food products for fine restaurants around the world.
This exquisite item from Menu is a blend of chopped Porcini mushrooms, sunflower oil, and margarine cooked into a rich earthy sauce. Excellent as a pasta sauce, you can also use it as a spread for sandwiches, or use it to fill canapes and vol-au-vents. For a unique recipe, use it as a pizza topping! A must-have for the mushroom lover.
