Port is the world's greatest fortified wine, produced in the valley of the Duoro River, East of Oporto in Northern Portugal. Port falls into two broad categories: ruby ports, characterized by intense, red fruit and berry flavors; and tawny ports, distinguished by their mellow, nutty, butterscotch and caramel essences. We have selected four cheeses that will complement both types.
Port not included.
- Fourme D'Ambert: Cave-aged for a minimum of two months, Fourme d'Ambert is made from raw cow's milk and has a tremendous, creamy, full-bodied flavor. Imported from France. (8 oz)
