From the selection of the trees, to the caring, harvesting, and pressing of the delicious olives, Quebrada de los Olivos offers the finest extra virgin olive oil from Uruguay. This vibrant green oil is fresh and lively on the tongue, making it a perfect partner with grilled chicken with herbs, quinoa salad, or dressing fresh tomatoes.
While a small country, Uruguay is renowned for its high-quality natural edible products worldwide such as meat, vegetables and fruits. In recent years Uruguay has emerged as a new player in the premium olive oil market, with many olive tree estates being born around the southern and northeastern parts of the country. Quebrada de los Olivos estate is located on the sinuous hills of Rocha Province in Uruguay, only 10 kilometers away from the Atlantic Ocean, at 180 meters above sea level. The lands have light soils with excellent drainage capacity and lay over an extended underground aquifer of pristine pure water, which is used for irrigation. The groves are comprised by 85.000 olive trees distributed in four distinct varieties. Arbequina, Coratina, Picual, and Farga. The blending of the oils is done by Quebrada de los Olivos' expert tasters to achieve the best composition, according to the requirements of their customers and the season's harvest.
