This superb cheese by the Artisan cheese makers at Roth Kase was the 2004 and 2005 first place winner at the American Cheese Society and gold medalist at the 2005 World Cheese Awards in London. Similar in style to Spanish Manchego, GranQueso has a firm body and a rich, full flavor. This handcrafted cheese is shelf-cured for at least six months to create a distinctive bite and lingering sweet finish unlike any other. It has a traditional "basket-weave" rind, which is made all the more distinctive by a colorful roll in paprika. GranQueso is a superb addition to any cheese board, and is perfect for grating on soups and salads.

That is three W's in the won Loss record of this highly skilled Wisconsin cheese maker. I cannot believe my taste buds. Comte better than Gruyere Comte from the authentic source; Buttermilk Blue that ranks with the very best: and now a Gran Queso so rich, buttery and sweet that they hit the ball out of the park. Root, root, root for the home team and it'll bring no shame because as they are clearly the winners.

Wonderful for salads
I have shredded this cheese and now use it on salads, in omelets and on potatoes. Works well on all of them, giving them a sharper taste.

Nice, full bodied rich flavor cheese
Another top favorite cheese to savor. Outstanding texture with a somewhat rich sharp taste with a hint of sweetness. It's very addictive and quickly devoured when included on a cheese tray.

Excellent product!
Excellent cheese to grate onto a salad or into soup. Can also be thinly sliced and melted onto burgers which adds great flavor!
