Salami Piccante is a spicy salami with red peppers and several varieties of paprika. It's hot, but not so much that it overwhelms the great flavor of artisan cured salami. Salame Piccante translates to "spicy salami", often called pepperoni. This thin, sometimes curved salami comes from the Calabria region of Italy. For this reason it is often called salame calabrese. Its international popularity has led to it being produced in an enormous variety of shapes and at varying levels of quality. There's a world of difference between a genuine Salame Piccante and the pepperoni on fast food pizza.

Creminelli meats are handmade under the supervision of master artisan, Cristiano Creminelli. Cristiano insists on using choice cuts of meat from select breeds, fed with organic white grains, and raised on small family farms. Organic spices are employed cautiously in the European tradition to complement and not overwhelm the flavorful, well-marbled, natural pork. Cristiano does more than just follow the Creminelli family recipes. He carries on the Creminelli family tradition, part of an Italian tradition passed down from generation to generation. Now, the tradition lives on in America.

Delicious, but a little too hot for me
I should have paid more attention to the "picante". This is great hard salami, just a little too spicy for me

Solid Salami
Bold salami so match it well. Not close to pepperoni - might be great on pizza but why bury the taste.

Not piccante
Tasty yes, but buy something else if you want spicy hot.

Tasty Hard Meat
Excellent, lightly spiced salami made a great pairing with brie and crackers. The meat was far more chewy than anticipated, so I recommend cutting into very thin slices for serving.

Great!
I ate this with crackers and cheese. The sausage was great and definitely worth buying again! Not spicy at all, but the peppers give this salami a great flavor.

Very good - but not
The description is accurate in saying: "There's a world of difference between a genuine Salame Piccante and the pepperoni on fast food pizza." This is clearly a hand made salami versus the machine processed abomination sold as pepperoni! I enjoyed this very much, but to be honest, there was "heat" to it at all, I would not use the descriptor "piccante".
