Syrian Cheese, also known as Jibni, is a typical Arab cheese. Just slice or chunk and fry in olive oil as you would Halloumi. This Syrian Cheese is fresh and buttery tasting, but not quite as salty as Halloumi. Enjoy this standard Arabic breakfast dish with scrambled eggs, bread, tomatoes, and cucumber. Yum!
Similar to Halloumi and also in a wonderful brine. I either fry it up or just eat from the package but I can't wait to try it in other dishes if I can stop myself from eating it alone.

Great Cheese!
My husband and I eat at a Turkish restaurant every time we are in London, where we first had fried Haloumi. I ordered this Syrian cheese once when I couldn't get Haloumi and was very pleased with it, as a substitute and also just for itself. We love the chewy, salty grilled treat for dessert as much here at home as when on holiday!

Mild and firm
Firm and mild. Has the most possibilities in preparation. This is the only cheese that you can grill and actually get grill marks. The only cheese that can be fried with or without oil/butter and still brown and keep its shape. Also melts if placed in sandwitches for grilling. Absolutely wonderful taste that changes based on preparation.

A quality product!
My husband got addicted to this sheep's milk cheese when we lived near a Lebanese grocery store that sold it. I bought it online here to surprise him given there aren't shopping prospects near our new house. The shipping was fast and packaged extremely well. This cheese is best when sliced 1/4" thick and sauteed in a nonstick pan of melted real butter. It gets golden like a grilled cheese, and he completely loves it! It's very unique, slightly chewy, firm with flavor, and the grilled exterior with the butter flavor, yum. I don't think it's ever sliced and served; always melted or grilled is advisable. Enjoy!

Great with eggs
Not your typical cheese. I use it like a non-salty feta. Great for adding texture and flavor to eggs and salads.

Hard and Dry
Too hard. Not much taste.
