Our Westphalian Ham is made by Abraham in Harkebrügge, Lower Saxony, Germany. Westphalian ham is produced from pigs raised on acorns in the Westphalia Forest. It is the knuckle of the hind leg, de-boned and without a rind. It is slowly cold smoked over beech wood chips and cured for up to 6 months to create a dark brown, dense ham with a soft, mildly smoky flavor.

Westphalian Ham
My parents were more pleased that they received the ham origniating in Germany, however ,they regretfully could not say it tasted good. Disappointing and very costly.

A Real Treat!
This Westphalian ham is as good as any I've ever tasted. If you've never tried it, you must! It came in a small cooler and I cut off a few thin slices right away. Delicious!

Worth Every Penny
I grew up in New York City, a child of German immigrants, and my mother would buy this kind of ham for special occasions. The taste is superb, and the product offered here lives up to my childhood memories. You won't be disappointed. And compared to Italian and Spanish prosciutto-style hams, this Westphalian ham has almost no fatty outer layer. Enjoy it thinly sliced.

Great Tasting..
Great tasting with excellent flavor. Slice it thin and wrap it around some melon balls or cut into a 1/4" cube and add to some sugar peas with onion. Very little waste (fat).

Yummo!
This is wonderful on a slice of rye or pumpernickel bread smeared in fresh butter with slices of shaved ham piled on them.
