The caperberry is the flower bud of Capparis Spinosa, a Mediterranean shrub, cultivated for its buds. The caperberry resembles a large grape with white stripes, or actually more like a teeny tiny watermelon. It has a much less intense flavor than a caper. They are preserved in water, vinegar, and salt. The caperberry can be eaten like an olive. In fact, it can make an interesting alternative in a martini. Use these crunchy, mildly, tangy caperberries in salads, antipasto, or tapas.

Good tasting, but small and with a lot of size variation
Perhaps it is because these are wild, but they are quite small compared with the caperberries I'm used to, which makes the stem to fruit ratio pretty high. There is also a lot of size variation, from pea-sized to a smallish grape size. But the taste is really nice, and for cocktails, etc., they're workable.

Caperberries
They are so fresh and delicious. They really sparkle up a martini. They were received four days after the order was made. Excellent service.

curiously delicious
I never had a caper berry so I tried these and liked them a lot. They are about the size of an olive, taste pretty much like a briney caper and have little crunchy seeds inside.

Caperberries
The taste was as good as others. However, by comparison to other labels I was not as pleased due to the variation in size and missing stems on about 40% of the berries. They simply didn't make the same presentation on a buffet that I like.

Like capers? You'll love caperberries!
Caperberries are a wonderful condiment. Use to garnish dry martinis, in salads and my favorite is adding them to chicken scallopini.

An alternative to olives
I love snacking on these but they are also great added to martinis instead of olives. The stems make them easy to handle.
