Paneer is a traditional, full-fat, soft cheese used in Indian cooking. The cow is sacred to the Hindus, so paneer is a quick ripening cheese which is coagulated by the action of acid in milk and not by using rennet. This vegetarian cheese is pressed until the texture is firm, similar to tofu. A great source of protein, paneer makes an excellent meat substitute. As a result, paneer is essential to 80% of India's diet and is in many of their recipes. The cheese maintains its body in cooking and takes on the flavors it is cooked with. Paneer can be used in a wide variety of sweet and savory dishes.

For centuries, a staple in the diet of the captivating Mediterranean island nation of Cyprus, Halloumi has now gone beyond these borders to be loved worldwide. Combining the texture of mozzarella with the briny moisture of feta, Halloumi is easily one of the world's most versatile cheeses. Instead of melting when cooked, Halloumi browns beautifully, especially when grilled. Alternatively, this lively 100% pure sheep's milk cheese can be served fresh in a salad or sandwich.

  • Made from sheep's milk.
  • Photo depicts whole 8.8 oz. form of cheese.

Chai is a spiced, milk tea from India. People in cooler parts of India have traditionally added spices to their tea, as well as their food, both as flavoring and to induce heat in the body. The variations on chai are endless, containing different black teas and different spices in varying amounts. This chai is made up of rich black tea and spices, including whole cardamom pods, pieces of stick cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and pepper. Brew the chai with whole milk and sweeten each cup with plenty of sugar.
  • Turn your tin of Chai upside down a few times. The powdered spices can settle at the bottom of the bag during transit.
