Crescenza is a rich, creamy, fresh cheese that is also known as Stracchino. It is produced in the northern Italian provinces of Lombardy, Piedmont and Veneto. Crescenza's texture and flavor are similiar to that of a Gorgonzola without the blue, and it becomes very soft and spreadable at room temperature. Made from cow's milk, we fly this cheese in every week to assure that you get the freshest possible product. It is best fresh, so eat it quickly!
  • Made from cow's milk.
  • Best enjoyed within seven days of delivery.
  • Photo depicts whole 8.8 oz. form of cheese.

love this cheese
By Bob

Had this cheese over in Basilicata Italy last year with a licorice jam. This is as close to it as I have found in the states. Fresh cheeses rock!
Bad Taste
By Lora
from California

I received a package with bad taste, I just put it in the trash. The prices are like for gold. In Italy Crescenza cheese is ticker and very sweet. I'll never buy again.

Original taste but a little bit too runny.
simply delicious

This is always the first cheese I buy when I go to Italy, but it is almost impossible to find in the U.S. This fresh cheese has a simple, clean flavor that lets the essence of milk shine through.
Excellent product

The packaging is a bit tricky because the product is very soft and runny, but it is the real deal and worked superbly in our torta al testo!
Subtle Flavor

Nice spreadable cheese that needs to be transferred to a container as soon as opened. Takes the shape of the container immediately. Cannot determine a similarity to gorganzola
Well, it is different

Very messy removing ot from original packing. Placed in a container it always finds the out edge of the vessel, no matter how muck is eaten. Very bland flavor but spreads well. Will not re-order
a little pricey for what you get
By Anna Chiara Alberti
from Detroit
on Feb 19, 2011
a little bitter compared to the one I'm used too in Italy. And I was expecting a bigger package. It's anyway very nice being able to get some here in the USA. Regular grocery stores usually don't offer it.

This cheese is in a class of it's own. It never fails to meet expectations.
