This delightful Pecorino Gran Riserva is a Calabrian delight, produced only with sheep's milk coming from Fattoria della Piana Coop members. Carefully aged for a minimum of 6 months in a humidity-controlled enviroment, the cheese is rubbed in olive oil. This only heightens the unique flavor profile that this special cheese has. Excellent for antipasto and salads, this rare Pecorino is also delicious for dessert, especially with a drizzle of honey.

    This is one of the best Pecorino Toscanos around; has been a favorite of mine for a few years. Excellent with honey or a fruit paste.

    Very good at either end of a meal. As an antipasto with a good white wine or at the end of a meal with a pear.

    This cheese brings me back to a trip to Pienza in Tuscany - the true home of Pecorino cheeses. Enjoy it with apple and pear slices and a crisp white wine.
