This 4-oz. log of Hickory Smoked Chèvre is cold-smoked, giving it a tantalizing flavor that will add zest to a beet salad with rosemary, crumbled over grilled vegetables, or served on its own with an assortment of olives. You may want to pair it with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc or a non-oaky chardonnay.

  • Made from pasteurized goat's milk.
  • Photo depicts whole 4 oz. form of cheese.

Hickory Smoked Chevre
This is the first time I have tried this cheese. I like it with salad. I grow Rosemary, and minced a small amount of it and mixed it with the cheese. Spreading this mixture on crispbread is a delight! Thank you!

Excellent flavor combination
I sometimes find smoked foods to be a bit overwhelming, but the tang of the goat cheese really complements the sweet smokiness.

Seriously Wonderful Cheese
This is a very different cheese. It is the only hickory smoked goat I have seen. It is a delicious smooth and smokey cheese. Try it with some cured ham and a drizzle of truffle oil.

very special with Piquillo Peppers
I was lucky enough to have this as an appetizer in a restaurant once and started experimenting on my own. Take whole Piquillo peppers , carefully cut down one side and stuff the pepper with a mixture of this cheese (add your own favorite spices, I always add garlic and experiment with other spices each time). This is the first time I used the smoked goat cheese so you don't have to use this particular Chevre. wrap the pepper around the cheese stuffing. Then you can either place the peppers in the oven and heat just until warm or I actually prefer warming them in a skillet just long enough to start barely browning them. Last time I made these I wrapped the stuffed pepper with 1/3 slice of bacon and warmed in the oven until the bacon crisped up. My husband loves bacon so he loved them; but, honestly I think they are just as good without the added fat. Next time I plan to make these stuffed peppers my main entree. Prepare them just as above and then place on top of a bed of your favorite pasta tossed with your favorite spaghetti sauce. Using the bacon may actually add to the appearance of this dish, or you could just sprinkle the top of the dish with fresh bacon bits and a little parmesan cheese.

Fabulous cheese with excellent flavor
We use about two logs/month just for our own dining needs. Served with baguette, on salad, with sliced pear...yum! I also love the cracked pepper cheese which isn't sold on this website, I guess.I've been lucky to visit the farm and see that it's clean and the animals seem well cared for.The staff was very friendly. This cheese makes a wonderful holiday gift!

I shared it with a neighbor on a wheat cracker, then I used it on my hamburger slider
