Fol-Epi is a Emmental-style cheese that is produced in France's Loire Valley. With typical French Flair, the 6.6 pound wheel carries a lovely image of wheat stalks, pressing out from the cheese's surface. The wheat is a reminder of the toasted wheat flour that coats this soft cheese's surface, and even its name translates to "wild wheat." Soft and springy on the interior, with a scattering of dime-sized eyeholes, this cheese is aged for only three months. American connoisseurs may be reminded of the cheese Teleme when tasting the floured rind. The cheese itself is mild, sweet, and gains a slight hazelnut flavor from the toasted wheat on the rind. Excellent served for a light lunch with dried apricots and a baguette.

Fol-Epi (French Emmental)
A 'dense' cheese. Smooth,slight and nutty in flavor. Great 'traveling' picnic cheese which stands up to breads and crackers of all sorts. Our 'go to' cheese for 4o'clock teatime too.

Best French Cheese
I am french and I have been looking for that cheese in the US for over 4 years now. Never thought of looking on the web to buy a cheese until the day I got desesperated. I am French and I can garaty you that it is one of the best cheese out there. It is actually my favourite! I wish it came already sliced in a package like they sell it in France. Was shipped 1 day after I placed my order in a nice refrigirated box. Great service. Thank you

Wonderful cheese!
This is my favorite cheese for just nibbling. It is a bit hard to find and expensive but well worth every penny. Excellent with any fruit, crackers or just plain.

this is rich like butter
easy and simple on triscuits with apple wedges. Also works well as melted top on french onion soup.

Delightly smooth and creamy
A must cheese for fresh fruit and a good wine. It would almost be a sin to use it on a "good" Rueben, get good quality corned beef and fresh dark rye and eat it very slowly if you can. This cheese is definitely on the must have list. The listed description fits it perfectly, don't pass it by when you are looking for a great treat.
