Matsutake, otherwise known as Pine Mushroom, is the most highly valued mushroom, when found in pristine condition. They are presented as high-status corporate gifts or wedding presents in Japan. The aroma is spicy, fruity and piny. It can also be found in Canada, Oregon, Idaho, and Northern California.
