Graviera by Mt Taygetus
The second most popular Greek cheese (after feta, of course!), Graviera is made from sheep's milk. Graviera is made in Kalamata, and has won numerous awards. It is a delicious chevre, with an excellent flavor profile. Graviera is hard, with a light yellow color, and has a slightly sweet and nutty taste. It is aged at least 8 months before coming to market. This firm, farmhouse cheese is dotted with tiny holes and has a slightly crumbly texture. Its flavor is nutty and buttery and lightly salted, offering the perfect cheese for any occasion.
One of the most award-winning Greek Graviera's made!
Winner of the 2011 Silver Medal, 2009 Silver Medal, 2007 Bronze Medal at the European Union Greek Dairy Festival.
