Known as the "Miracle Tea," Rooibos is indigenous to the Cederberg mountain high desert region in the western Cape of South Africa; the only place in the world it's grown. This small, leguminous shrub has needle-like leaves, fine stems, and tiny yellow flowers. Sun-dried, Rooibos is processed like traditional teas.

Teasan, derived from the French, tisane, is Numi's term for a brewed herbal beverage with no tea leaves. Rooibos has no additives, preservatives or colourounts, has a light vanilla scent and yields a rich orange brew.

Rooibos' health benefits are numerous. In-vitro tests in Japan show that it exhibits anti-mutagenic properties and retards growth of certain tumors.
