Panforte with Apricot and Pear by Masoni - 450g
Panforte is a traditional cake from Siena in Tuscany. It is a flat disc-shaped cake with honey, almonds, candied fruit and spices. Panforte Albicocce e Pere trades out the dried citrus fruits with dried apricots and pears and the almonds with hazelnuts. As with Masoni's Panforte with Fig & Walnut, we find that a wedge is delicious with coffee, vin santo and prosecco for dessert. We also love this panforte with young pecorinos or goat cheeses.
