The Keen Family has been making delicious cheddars since 1899 at Moorhays Farm near the Blackmore Vale in Southwestern England. This West Country Farmhouse Cheddar cheese matures for more than 12 months to perfection, occasionally growing blue veins at the edges. The cheddars are regularly turned and sampled to ensure that each achieves a unique, subtle, nutty flavor.

Keen's Traditional Cheddar is a West Country Farmhouse Cheddar, part of an exclusive list of British foods protected by a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO). West Country Farmhouse Cheddar can only be made in Dorset, Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall Counties. Keen's Cheddar is one of these selected few.
