Named after the Belgian town of the same name, Brugge Jong ("Jong" meaning "young") is a mild, smooth cheese matured for at least 5 weeks. Soft and malleable with a yellow rind, it's great on a sandwich or as an ingredient in the kitchen. The smooth, gouda-like texture makes it an excellent cheese for melting or blending into sauces. Very little salt is used in the recipe and treatment which allows it to maintain a mild, but complex flavor. Enjoy this Belgian treat with a good beer like Lefse, Palm, or Duvel.
Made from pasteurized cow's milk.
