Cheezus it''s good
I cannot get enough of this cheese. I melt it over steak tenderloin for a fantastic flavor. Great price, too. Of course that is more than offset by the shipping and handling costs.

Fantastic
This cheese is wonderful. We have ordered it multiple times and it is always perfect. Very creamy and flavorful, goes great with some dates and prosciutto. Highly recommended!

Too Mild?
I thoroughly enjoyed this cheese, even if it were a bit too "dolce". One very annoying aspect: the inner, second wrapping in plastic which, in sift cheeses, is very hard to separate and discard.

The Igourmet description says often imitated. This cheese is NOT imitated; it is one of a kind. The imitated one is the " mountain " gorgonzola. THIS cheese is special. This is the cheese that you eat by the handful. It is without the often overwhelming blue veins. You don't spread this on a little cracker, you eat it by the chunk. Like all blues it'll spoil if not eaten within about a week. If there's the slightest taste of ammonia it's over the hill, but Igourmet has the freshest cheese. Let it rise to room temp and it's sublime and even spreadable when cold.

A remarkable cheese
I have never had a cheese as wonderful as this especially for just plain eating by itself. It is spreadable but I never get that far. Just slice a piece and eat it, rind and all. To me the less blue intensity and the creamy softness makes it unique. IGourmet always has fresh cheese and their packaging is the best. Blue cheeses spoil very quickly and can develop an ammonia off flavor very soon, but not this cheese.
